The new 2019 Kia Forte borrows design cues from Kia Stinger to Forte compact sedan, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that provides a third generation to simplify drive train options by dropping direct injection over Trim. The new Kia Forte has a much broader refreshment than a wholesale model reengineering. This is a combined mpg with continuous LX transmission of new variables trim for the first time as a brand.
2019 Kia Forte Changes
Not like the previous model, the new 2019 Kia Forte is the 2nd generation, 2.0-liter Atkinson 4-cylinder engine with multiport injections, producing 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. Previously, a stronger 2.0-liter engine was dropped. Although the 6-speed manual transmission is standard equipment in the LX base model, the first continuous variable transmission that should be used by car manufacturers in other models in the future is the choice in the LX model, in trim S and EX. Gear did not announce the expected fuel consumption figures from other models on the LX CVT, providing only 35 mpg fuel economy performance for that model.
CVT itself is referred to as KIA Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). Kia states that this is intentionally done in order to better analyze the CVT results introduced by other car makers before designing them independently. As a result, the transmission uses a chain type belt instead of a push belt. This confirms that car manufacturers provide smoother and more linear acceleration. In addition, to eliminate the feel of rubber bands associated with CVT, we introduce a step function that makes it feel like a traditional automatic transmission on a wide open throttle and heavy acceleration.
